Margaret Barnard Playgroup has achieved Quality Assured Accreditation Standard.

Our half-century established Towyn/Tywyn playgroup worked hard to achieve this accreditation and were rewarded for both the effort and fun in 2006 by Wales Pre-School Playgroups Association. Christine Scott, our Playgroup supervisor, said "We are delighted to have reached this standard as it is a 'kite mark' of excellence".

Margaret Barnard Playgroup has been rewarded for its high standards and chosen to participate in a new scheme run by the Welsh Assembly.

The proposed Foundation Phase for Education in Wales scheme incorporates 42 schools throughout Wales, and our Tywyn Playgroup will be the only non-maintained playgroup in the County of Gwynedd.

"This is quite a feather in our cap to be chosen for this pilot study," said Christine Scott, our Playgroup leader.
